Company History

Geoff Scalf launched Gap Solutions Group in 2003 to meet the growing need for a specialized, independent consulting firm without ties or allegiance to any manufacturer, carrier or vendor.

Scalf and business partner Jeff Chauza leverage their individual talents and expertise in solution management and IT infrastructure design to analyze clients’ current problems and needs while identifying potential solutions.

Gap Solutions Group paved the way as an alternative to cookie cutter IT infrastructure solutions with a focus on the technology infrastructure side of the solution. This includes everything from the physical side to the logical side of networks, integrating strategic IT planning and consulting with IT infrastructure design and implementation.

We have earned our clients’ trust by building custom solutions that address each firm’s unique specifications and selecting technology that is both a technical and financial fit.

Company Bios

Geoff Scalf

Geoff Scalf launched Gap Solutions Group after 20 years of consulting experience in IT management reorganization, IT infrastructure, data networks, voice networks, telecommunications and cellular networks.

A former CTO for a global law firm, Scalf understands the obstacles his clients face when it comes to network-related issues. Whether it is redesigning an overtaxed network structure, organizing a complete technology solution from the ground up including people, systems and applications, or bringing an outsourced IT operation back in-house — Scalf knows the importance of making it happen without interrupting daily operations. His experience in the financial, energy, hospitality and broadcast industries enables him to provide relevant insight to all of his clients. He holds a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas.

Jeff Chauza

Jeff Chauza began his career in IT with one of the first technology consulting firms in Dallas, where he gained a solid understanding of the importance of integrating IT infrastructure into the architectural design process. In the late 1990s, Chauza met and worked with Geoff Scalf at another consulting firm.

As a partner at Gap Solutions Group, Chauza contributes years of infrastructure design experience to enhance the design, procurement and implementation of corporate IT voice and data network infrastructures. His depth of knowledge and expertise in project management runs the gamut from small co-location cages to 1M square foot corporate campuses. RCDD certified, Jeff is well versed in the design and project management of the low-voltage infrastructure systems — with experience in all facets of IT low-voltage systems, ranging from data cabling and audio/visual to security and building control systems.
